Ann Suhow, 83, of Danville, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her
family on Friday, June 1, 2018 at her residence. She was born March 2, 1935
in Scranton, PA, the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Lancavage Vasky.
was employed in her earlier years as a rug weaver at Scranton Lace Works and
later valued her time as a homemaker.
enjoyed playing cards, especially rummy and pinochle. She was well known as
the “cat lady” because of her great fondness of cats. Her compassionate
heart was huge for her family, especially her grandchildren. It was her
greatest joy to participate in their lives in any way she could.
survived by two daughters; Mary Valenta and her husband Peter of Old Forge
PA and Tina Harvey and her fiancé Thomas Barwick of Orangeville PA and one
son; Earl Harvey and his wife Wendy of Clarks Summit PA. Also surviving are
seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by
one sister, Ruth Paznoski of Clarks Green PA. She was preceded in death by
one brother, Stanley Vasky and two sisters; Frances Gesford and Carol Artley.
Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
