Allen Riley “Bob”, 50, of Danville, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday,
May 28, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania on
July 13, 1967 the son of Gilbert H. “Butch” and Melanie J. (Diggan) Riley.
graduated from Watsontown Christian Academy in 1985.
was married to Karen M. Szczepanik Riley for 2 years. They were married on
July 25, 2016.
employed with UPS for over 30 years.
a devout attendee of First Baptist Church for over 10 years.
was a devoted husband, father and son as well as a major source of strength
for his family with his exuberant passion for each of them. His passion was
coaching which included softball, baseball, soccer and basketball. He was
also a member of the Men’s League Softball Team which took him to several
states. He will be lovingly remembered by his family for his caring,
kindhearted and forgiving heart as well as being a supportive father who
always was adamant about abiding by “the rules”.
addition to his parents and his wife, Bob is survived by six sons; Shayne,
Colton, John, Peyton, Brady and Kayden “K.J.”; all of Danville PA and three
daughters; Gwen Shrawder and her husband Trey of Danville PA; Heather Jones
and her husband Zeb of Ohio and Mackenzie. He is also survived by three
granddaughters; Autumn, Riyah and Rowen and one grandson, Judah. Also
surviving are two brothers; Steven and Matthew Riley. His nephews, Tyler
Wise, Brett and Michael Riley and his niece Madison Riley, whom he adored,
also survive him as well as numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by
one niece, Mackenzie Riley in 2015.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Bob’s Life to
be held on
Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church 12 Brookside
Drive, Danville, PA (off 642 East) with the Reverend Dawes J. Dunham
officiating assisted by the Reverend Dr. Harry H. Wonderland. Friends will
be received from1:00 until 2:45 PM at the church. Burial will be private and
at the convenience of the family.
