Norma Louise Nevius

Norma Louise Nevius, 75, of Danville, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at her home surrounded by family.  She was born July 29, 1943 in Danville PA, the daughter of the late Lear and Mary Cashner Sterling.

Norma graduated from Bloomsburg High School.

She was married for 50 years to Carl “Reds” Nevius who preceded her in death on September 4, 2016.

She worked at Geisinger Medical Center as an aide in the Urology Clinic for several years.  In earlier years, she held a daycare in her home where she gave tender loving care to many children.

In addition to her love for children, she was an avid Penn State fan.  She enjoyed gardening and loved to shop.  Her greatest enjoyment in her life was spending time with her children and her grandchildren whom she adored.

Norma is survived by three sons; Brian Nevius and Becki of Danville PA;  Russ and his wife Heidi of Lewisburg PA and Greg and his wife Lori of Bloomsburg PA.   Also surviving are her grandchildren; Logan, Hannah, Elise and Kaleb.  She will also be greatly missed by her close companion dog, Buster, who also survives.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Sterling and one sister Linda Sterling  

The family would like to personally thank Dr. Meloy for his compassionate and special care that he gave to their Mom.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Norma’s memory to The Danville SPCA 1467 Bloom Road Danville PA  17821 or personal donations of blood to a local blood bank.
