James F. Duplissey

James F. Duplissey, 83, beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Grandview Health Homes Danville, PA in the presence of his family.  James was born March 18, 1935 in Northampton, Massachusetts, the son of the late James and Cecelia Tacy Duplissey.

He was a devoted husband for 52 years to his loving wife, the late Elaine Marie Lokker Duplissey, whom he married on April 16, 1966. She preceded him in death 18 days apart on August 12, 2018.

James served his country in the United States Coast Guard on the cutter USCGC Half Moon.  He was also a member of The Lionís Club. 

James spent most of his career as a Health Physics Supervisor for Catalytic, United Engineers & Constructors and Raytheon. 

James loved sailboats, lighthouses, and the sea.  He enjoyed watching auto racing, doing home projects, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his son, Christopher Duplissey of Catawissa, PA, his daughter, Claudine Cole of Wall, NJ, two grandchildren, Abigail and Justin, two sisters, Lois Krushinsky of Fairfield, CT, Patricia Matter of Hagerstown, MD, and loving nieces and nephews.   

Services were private and held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Visneski Funeral Home 42 W Mahoning Street Danville PA 17821.
