G Raymond Cook

G Raymond Cook, 66, of Danville, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Grandview Health Homes, Inc. Danville PA.   He was born on October 25, 1951 the son of the late George and Mary Lowrey Cook.  

Raymond graduated from Danville High School and  from Southwestern College in Chula Vista California as a Registered Nurse. 

He was married for 19 years to Maria Guadalupe Cooke.  They were married June 19, 1998. 

His employments included working as a welder in the Shipping Industry in California, as a Registered Nurse at Geisinger Medical Center, and as a truck driver. 

Raymond was a former member of Victory Baptist Church in Bloomsburg PA and attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Danville PA. 

He was a devoted and loving husband and father who enjoyed numerous activities including reading and loved woodworking.  Raymond especially loved walking outdoors in the nature and fishing with his son, who was his pride and joy. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son; G. Raymond Cook, Jr. of Danville PA.  Also surviving is one sister, Cynthia Weisenberger and her husband Allen of Guntersville Alabama.  He was preceded in death by two sisters; Carol Reedy and Georgeann Sutherland. 

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 42 West Mahoning Street

Danville PA with Pastor Tim Perry, Victory Baptist Church Bloomsburg PA officiating.  Friends will be received from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. 

The family will provide flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made to Victory Baptist Church 366 W. 5th Street Bloomsburg PA  17821
