Debora Kaye Lunger

April 10, 2017

Debora Kaye Lunger, 58, of 301 East Valley Avenue, Elysburg, PA, was ushered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA after a nine-month struggle with cancer. She was born on August 28, 1958 in Harrisburg, PA, the daughter of Phyllis (Schreffler) Hilldale and the late Robert Coffin Hilldale, III.

Debbie was married to her devoted husband, Randall G. Lunger, for 35 years. They were married on June 27, 1981.

She graduated from Montoursville High School in 1976 and Clarion University in 1980.

Debbie was a clever and creative businesswoman and the founder and primary owner of the Rose of Sharin' Quilt Shop on Mill Street in Danville, PA.

She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and the gentle company of songbirds in her back yard. But her greatest passion and desire in life was serving and loving others, especially her family.

In addition to her husband and mother, Debbie is also survived by three children, Adam Lunger, Sara Bittner, and Rachel Rossi, whom she poured her heart and soul into every single day. She is also survived by three grandchildren and her siblings Lori Hamilton, Christine Crouse, and Robert C. Hilldale, IV.

She was preceded in death by her dear friends Earl and Gizella Rudolph.

Debbie's absence will be felt immensely as her impact and her love could never be forgotten. She has inspired and touched the lives of her family, her friends, and her church, as well as her clients and customers. All that she did she did selflessly, and with love.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of her life on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Elysburg Alliance Church, 113 Alpha Avenue, Elysburg, PA 17824 with Pastor David Dixon officiating. Friends will be received from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. Burial will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery, Paxinos, PA.

The family will provide flowers. Memorial Contributions may be made in her honor to Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 1331 E Wyoming Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19124.

Arrangements are under the direction of Visneski Funeral Home, Inc., 10 West Mahoning Street, Danville, PA.  www.visneski.com
