Shayne M. Bordner, 50, of
Rushtown Road, Danville, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family
on Thursday evening, January 5, 2017 at his residence. He was born
August 3, 1966 in Harrisburg PA.
Shayne was a devoted husband
to his wife, Rhonda M. Fulkroad Bordner for 22 years. They were married on
September 24, 1994.
He graduated from Millersburg
High School in 1984.
Shayne served his country as a
Crew Chief in the United States Air Force from 1985-1988.
He was employed as a Shift
Leader with TE Connectivity in Lebanon PA for the past 28 years.
He was a member of Grace
United Methodist Church in Millersburg PA.
An avid outdoorsman, Shayne
especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed watching football
and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He adored his faithful companion
dogs; Ion and Frigga. One of Shayne’s greatest enjoyments was always being
present for both of his daughter’s cheerleading competitions, being their
greatest fan. His greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his

daughters; Shana N. Bordner and Shannen M. Bordner; both at home, he is also
survived by his parents; Donald and Shirley Bordner of Danville PA. Also
surviving is his fraternal grandmother, Jean Bordner of Dornsife PA and two
sisters; Robyn Danneker and her husband John of Danville PA and Jennifer
Distasio of Mechanicsburg PA. Also surviving is his father-in-law Ronald
Fulkroad of Millersburg PA and his mother-in-law Ruth Minnich of
Elizabethville PA; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Also
surviving are numerous aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by his mother; Donna Deibler Brunner; fraternal
grandfather, Guy Bordner and maternal grandparents; Donald and Audrey
Deibler and Charles and Regina Scheetz
Relatives and friends are
invited to attend a Celebration of Shayne’s Life to be held on Wednesday,
January 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Rush Baptist Church 395 Rushtown Road
Danville PA with Pastor Hugh Coulbourn officiating. Friends will be
received from 9:00 AM – 10:45 AM at the church. Burial will be private and
at the convenience of the family. Military rites will be accorded by the
American Legion Post 40 Honor Guard.
The family will provide
flowers. Memorial Contributions may be made to Geisinger Medical Center
Oncology Department 100 N. Academy Avenue Danville PA 17822. Arrangements
