Mildred A. Weatherill

Mildred A. Weatherill, 92, of 5485 Perkiomen Avenue Reading PA and formerly of Danville PA passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Berkshire Commons in Reading PA.  She was born June 29, 1925 in Danville PA, the daughter of the late Walter E. and Anna Bell Hakes Metzger.

 She was married for 72 years to the late Kenneth F. Weatherill who preceded her in death on June 9, 2017.   They were married on February 24, 1945. 

Mildred was a devoted homemaker for most of her life, a committed daughter, wife, and mother, as well as a quiet strength for her family. 

She was an avid seamstress and loved to can and freeze vegetables.  Above all, spending time with her family was her greatest joy in life. 

She is survived by her daughter, Eileen F. Webb and her husband Joe of Elverson PA.  Also surviving are four grandchildren; Bradley Webb and his wife Deborah of Mohnton PA; Keith Webb and his wife Shannon of Honeybrook PA, Nathan Weatherill of California and Donelle Hanley of Florida; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.  Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her. 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth W. Weatherill on April 18, 2005; five brothers and two sisters. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 West Mahoning Street Danville PA with the Reverend Trevor J. Hahn, Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating.  Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA.   Friends will be received from 10:30 AM until the time of service.  

The family will provide flowers. Memorial Contributions may be made to Caring Hospice 400 Commerce Drive, Suite C Fort Washington PA  19034
