Glenn Leo Brogan

Glenn Leo Brogan, 85, of Northumberland PA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at his home.   He was born November 23, 1932 in Mt. Carmel, PA; the son of the late Charles and Laura (Miller) Brogan. 

Glenn graduated from Northumberland High School in 1951. 

He was married for 65 years to Sylvia Kauffman Brogan whom he married June 28, 1952. 

Glenn was employed in Machine Repair at TRW, Inc., Danville for 43 ˝ years, from where he retired. While employed there he served as Union President.  He was a member of the Board of Directors of the TRW Credit Union and served as President of the TRW Retirees.  Glenn was a Point Township Supervisor for nine years. 

He attended Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church in Sunbury PA. 

Glenn was a strong man of faith and actively served Jesus in all he did. He thoroughly enjoyed gardening, especially his “family heritage” lima beans.  He loved to work with his hands and travel with his wife. His family was at the heart of all he did and gave him much joy during his lifetime. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son; Randy L. Brogan and his wife Sheree of Richfield, PA and three daughters; Patsy K. Milbrand and her husband Van of Enola PA; Susan A. Straub of Northumberland PA and Jody A. Beaver and her husband Randy of Elkridge MD; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  Along with his wife, he was the foster parent of five additional children.  Several nieces and nephews also survive him. He was preceded in death by one brother Charles F. Brogan, Jr. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Glenn’s Life to be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 11:00AM at Emmanuel Bible Fellowship, 967 Mile Hill Road, Sunbury, PA with Pastor Josh Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury PA.  Friends will be received from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at the church. The family will provide flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
