E. Mausteller, 84, of Danville PA passed away peacefully on September 11,
2017 at Grandview Nursing Home in Danville, PA He was born October 25,
1932 in Danville PA, the son of the late Charles and Ethel Hahn Mausteller.
graduated from Danville High School in 1950.
married for 60 years to Beverly J. Wray Mausteller. They were married
December 14, 1956.
was employed as an Electrical Foreman at Danville State Hospital, from where
member of Shiloh United Church of Christ Danville PA. His other memberships
included Danville-Mahoning Lodge#224 F & AM where he served as Past Master;
Danville Royal Arch Chapter #239; Calvary Commandery #37, Pennsylvania York
Rite College #11, Vallerchamp Council #25 Royal and select Master Masons,
Caldwell Consistory of Bloomsburg PA, National Rifle Association, Rocky
Mountain Elk Foundation, AARL Amateur Radio Member, Veritas Council #64 –
Allied Masonic Degrees; AARP and was a life member of the Danville Elks.
was an avid hunter, including big game. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting in
Montana with his brothers each year. He loved camping, most especially with
his grandsons, and was widely known to be “Mr. Gadget”, fixing things and
having the parts readily available. He loved being an amateur HAM radio
operator and was an avid shopper with his wife. Many fond memories will be
cherished by his family whom he adored.
survived by two daughters; Lisa Mausteller Strausser of Danville and Wendy
Spurbeck of Longmont Colorado. Also surviving are three grandsons; Tyde
Strausser and Dylan Strausser; both of Danville PA and Chase Spurbeck of
also survived by one brother, George Mausteller and his wife Sue of Danville
PA. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
was preceded in death one grandson, Brandon Strausser in December of 2012
and two brothers; Charles and Carl Mausteller.

September 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 West
Mahoning Street Danville PA with Pastor Ruth Laudermilch officiating.
Friends will be received from 9:00 – 10:30 AM. Masonic services will be
held at 10:45 AM. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery Danville PA.
