Mary Seesholtz

Mary Seesholtz, 96, of Danville Pennsylvania passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Emmanuel Nursing Center at Maria Joseph in Danville, Pennsylvania where she had been a guest since June 14th, 2016.

She was born February 4th 1920 in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania and is the daughter of the late Hiram and Sarah Gross of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.

She graduated from Bloomsburg High School in 1937 and served as a class officer.

She was married for 32 years to Donald E. Whitenight who preceded her in death on November 22, 1972, and to Charles R. Seesholtz, Sr. for 17 years who also preceded her in death on January 29, 1992.

Mary was last employed by Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania where she worked for many years as a medical secretary.

She was member of the Shiloh Church of Christ, in Danville, Pennsylvania.

Mary enjoyed gardening, shopping for antiques, visiting flea markets and garage sales, working crossword puzzles, and spending time with her four grandchildren, Christopher James Ryan, Beverly Joy Becker, Jody Katherine Olympia, Jonathan Keith Whitenight, and her 11 great grandchildren. In recent years, Mary also developed a close and special bond with her caregivers.

She is survived by her son, D. Keith Whitenight and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Marks Whitenight, of Huddleston, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sally K. Ryan, and brother, Alfred Gross.

A private Graveside Service limited to family members will be held in Elan Memorial Park with the Reverend Dr. Robert J. Andrews officating at the convenience of the family.
