Jane L. Beagle

Jane L. Beagle, 93, of 50 1st Street and formerly of 95 Cameltown Hill Road Danville PA passed away Tuesday morning, April 26, 2016 at Milton Healthcare and Rehab Center in Milton PA.  She was born March 7, 1923 in Washingtonville PA the daughter of the late Roy B. and Catherine A. Murphy Rudy.   

She was married 43 years to the late Ray F. Beagle who preceded her in death September 25, 2008.  They were married January 9, 1965.  

In her earlier years, she was employed in the Housekeeping Department at Geisinger Medical Center for five years. She was co-owner, along with her husband, of the Muncy Drive-In from 1962-1967 and the Beagle's Tasty-Freeze in Danville from 1971 - 1980 which is now Hunters' Daily Freez. 

Jane was a member of Pine Street Evangelical Lutheran Church Danville PA  and enjoyed being a member of the Women's Class. 

Jane was an avid reader.  She loved needlepoint and thoroughly enjoyed sewing.  One of her greatest joys were "outings" going anywhere with her family whom she adored. 

She is survived by two daughters; Mary Jane Johnson and her husband Elwood, Jr. of Sunbury PA and Patricia A. Yeager and her husband of Martin of Danville PA. She is also survived by her stepson Edward E. Beagle and his wife Holly of Unityville PA. Also surviving are six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by one sister, Margaret Buss of Turbotville PA and one brother, Robert "Bud" Rudy of Arizona.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters; Dorothy, Catherine Irene and Mary Victoria and two brothers; William Rudy and John Rudy.

 Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11:30 AM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 West Mahoning Street Danville PA with her pastor the Reverend Dr. Lois Martin officiating.  Burial will follow in Columbia Hill Cemetery Danville PA.  Friends will be received from 10:30 AM until the time of service.  The family will provide flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Pine Street Evangelical Lutheran Church 407 Pine Street Danville PA  17821.  www.visneski.com
