Collins L. “Fuzz” Stump, 84, of 114 West Mahoning Street, Danville, PA,
passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at his residence.
He was born on April 8, 1932 in Danville, PA, the son of the late Arthur
and Clara Belle (Tipler) Stump.
Collins graduated from Danville Area High School in 1950. He received a
Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Bloomsburg State Teacher’s College.
Collins also received a Master’s Degree.
Collins served his country in the United States Army as a Captain during the
Korean War and a Moving Artillery Commander. He also served in the National

involvement as a long-term Danville 1st Ward Borough Councilman.
He also served faithfully in the VFW, American Legion, Danville Moose,
Danville Mahoning Lodge 224 F&AM where he received his 50-year member pin
and all Danville and Riverside Fire Departments.

Collins was one of six brothers and survived by two brothers; Harry Stump
and his wife Dorothy; and Clair Stump and his wife Nancy of Danville. Also
surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Collins is also survived by one
step-daughter, Corinne Peterman as well as his former wife, Renee Weaver.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Tuesday,
November 22, 2016 at 1:30pm at Washingtonville Lutheran Church, 10
Strawberry Ridge Road, Washingtonville, PA with the Reverend Melody Sell
officiating. Friends will be received from 11:30am until 1:20 PM at which
time a Masonic service will be held. Burial will follow at Washingtonville
Lutheran Cemetery, Washingtonville, PA. Military Rites will be accorded by
American Legion Post 40 Honor Guard.
