Dawn Marie Rospendowski

November 27, 2015

Dawn Marie Rospendowski, 40, of 7751 Sullivan Circle Alexandria VA and formerly of Danville PA was welcomed into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, November 25, 2015.

She was born August 2, 1975 in Danville PA and was the daughter of George and Carol Long Buckley of Danville PA.

She graduated from Bloomsburg Christian School in 1994 and from Houghton College in 1996 with an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development.  Dawn was employed as a childcare provider at KinderCare in Claymont DE and she worked as an Administrative Assistant for Brown & Associates Investment Services in Fayetteville NC for six years. Above all else, Dawn cherished her career as a homemaker and as a mother to her children and was treasured in that role by her husband and two children.

Dawn was a former member of First Baptist Church of Danville.  Her spiritual life was abundant with her passion for MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and participating in numerous Ladies’ Bible Studies throughout the years.

In addition to her love for children, Dawn will be remembered for her quiet, kind and gentle spirit.  She was a devoted friend to so many throughout her life and added so much value to each of them.  Her many interests included crafting and she found much delight in music, especially Christmas music which you could hear her singing throughout the year.   Dawn played the French horn and the piano.  She enjoyed attending Csehy Summer School of Music in Muncy PA for several summers.  Dawn also thoroughly enjoyed traveling extensively with her military family.

In addition to her parents, she is survived and will be deeply missed by the love of her life and husband of 18 years, Aaron Michael Rospendowski whom she married December 28,  1996 and her two children; Jonathan Aaron and Bella Rain; both at home.

Also surviving is one sister; Lori Jeanne Baronner and her fiancé Greg Gaghan of Cranberry Township PA and three brothers;  Brian Buckley and his wife Kim of Harrisburg, PA ; Earl Buckley and his wife Betsy of Campbell NY and William Buckley and his wife Linda of Lewisburg PA.  Also surviving are 5 nieces and 5 nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Dawn’s life to be held Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church 20 Brookside Drive (off Route 642 East) Danville PA with the Reverend Dr. Harry H. Wonderland officiating assisted by the Reverend Dawes J. Dunham.  Friends will be received from 9:15 AM until 10:45 AM.  Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA.  The family will provide flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made to MOPS International at www.mops.org/donate or First Baptist Church Memorial Fund 20 Brookside Drive Danville PA 17821.
