Theresa A. Molter

Theresa A. Molter, 64, of 121 Indian Run Road Danville PA died on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at her home.  She was born February 25, 1951  in Baltimore MD the daughter of the late Richard and Anna May Dauber Dannettel. 

She was married to her loving husband of 38 years, Pastor Greg Molter of St. Paul's - Emmanuel United Methodist Church.  They were married July 9, 1977. 

Theresa lived in the Danville area since 1996.  During the first 22 years of marriage, she was a military wife, serving as the mainstay of the family.  While stationed at Dover AFB, DE, Theresa managed a convenience store/gas station for several years and went back to school to complete her high school education.  During that busy time of her life, she cared for her only son along with numerous other children she had a part in raising.

In 1996, Theresa was given guardianship of her two eldest granddaughters and then moved the family to Danville.  Once here, she worked for Leighow Fuels before becoming an aide in the Danville Middle School.   

She was elected as auditor of Derry Township and served as Chairman of the Auditor Committee for several years.  Theresa also served as secretary/treasurer of the Challenger Division of the Danville Area Little League. 

Throughout her life, Theresa enjoyed shopping, eating out and quality time spent at the family condo.  Theresa was also a collector of pigs with a last toll of over 5,000 pigs in her collection which dominated her home.  Her favorite color was purple and she was a music fan of gospel and rock and roll.  Some of her greatest enjoyments in life were spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchild, all of whom she adored. 

In addition to her husband she is survived by one son, Melvin Richard Barnhart and his wife Jessica and their children Gregory and Meghan of Dover Delaware; her adopted son, Derrick Ian Deziel and his wife Marisa and their children Kayla, Breanna and Connor Jack of Washougal, Washington; granddaughter Amanda L. Maculloch and her husband John of Danville PA and granddaughter Heather Brown and her son Brandon of Bloomsburg PA. 

She is also survived by four brothers; Henry and his wife Marilyn of Lawton, Iowa; James and his wife Tyra of Arizona City, Arizona; William (Ricky) and his wife Nancy of Baltimore MD and Edward and his wife Mary of Westminster MD; one sister, Mary Howell and her husband Charles of Felton DE.  Also surviving are 12 nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service  to be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 1:00 PM at St. Paul's - Emmanuel United Methodist Church 305 Pine Street Danville PA with the Reverend Thomas Salsgiver, District Superintendant of Lewisburg District of the Susquehanna Conference officiating.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.  Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until 12:45 PM at the church.  The family will provide flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Challenger Division of  the Danville Area Little League PO Box 224 Danville PA 17821.
