Elmer A. Swaldi,
82, of Milton PA passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at
Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA surrounded by loved ones and entered
into Godís loving arms. He was born August 13, 1932 in Diamondtown, PA, the
son of the late Dominic and Mary Kline Swaldi.
Elmer was a member
of St. Peterís United Methodist Church in Riverside PA. As a young man, he
was an altar boy at St. Peters Church in Mt. Carmel PA. He loved sports and
especially enjoyed cheering for his favorite football team, the Philadelphia
Eagles. Elmer loved his dog, Betty, and always had a great affection for all
animals. He had a great sense of humor and was well known for his

three sisters; Eleanor Dietz, of Harrisburg, Eileen Swaldi, of Pitman, and
Rose Britton and her husband Donald of Mount Carmel and three brothers,
Robert Swaldi and his wife Sally; Ernest Swaldi and his wife Dolores and
Raymond Swaldi; all of Mount Carmel. Also surviving are many nieces and
nephews, as well as his extended family from his Milton home. He was
preceded in death by an infant brother, Norman Swaldi, sister Mary Swaldi
Vezo and brother Dominic Swaldi, Jr.
friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Elmer's Life to be held
Tuesday, April 28, at 12:00 Noon at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 West
Mahoning Street Danville PA with his pastor, the Reverend Dr. Donald Hurley
officiating. Burial will follow at Columbia Hill Cemetery Danville PA.
Friends will be received from 10:30 AM until the time of service.
