Anna Snyder

Anna Snyder, 90, a resident of Vintage Knolls for four years and who previously resided at 504 Avenue C, Riverside, died Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Geisinger Medical Center.  She was born February 14, 1924, in Lewisburg, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Nogle. 

She was married to her beloved husband of 65 years, William J. Snyder who preceded her in death March 27, 2009.  

Anna lived in the Danville area since 1943.  In her younger years, she worked at Danville Manufacturing and Weis bakery.  Throughout her life, Anna enjoyed sewing, cooking, crocheting, and gardening.  Some of her greatest enjoyments were spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. 

She is survived by one daughter, Jean Delbo, and her husband Joseph of Danville; and one son, Alfred Snyder, and his wife Linda of Bloomsburg. She is also survived by six grandchildren:  Janet Souka, Columbus, NJ; June Heeter, Joseph Delbo and Justina Delbo, all of Danville; Michelle Zucal, of Bangor; and Michael Snyder of Evanston, Illinois; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters:  Jane Sees of Danville, Louise VanVleet and Blanche Tillinghast of New York; and three brothers: George and Joe Nogle of New York and Charles Nogle of Utah. 

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers; Ralph, John, and Donald Nogle; and three sisters; June and Dorothy Nogle and Miriam Farnsworth.   

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held Saturday, September 20, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc., 10 W. Mahoning Street, Danville with Pastor Greg Molter officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Danville.  Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  www.visneski.com
