June A. Clark

June A. Clark, 81, of 731 Elysburg Road Catawissa PA went to be with her Lord on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Emmanuel Nursing Center at Maria Joseph Danville PA. 

She was born June 11, 1933 in Point Township, Northumberland County PA the daughter of the late Charles and Grace Maurer Getty. 

She graduated from Danville High School in 1951. 

She was married to her husband of 62 years, Donald E. Clark whom she married February 23, 1952. 

Along with being a homemaker, June was employed at several places including Geisinger Medical Center in Medical Records and as an Emergency Room receptionist; Northumberland County Cooperative Extension as an office manager and Grandview Health Homes as Admissions Director.   June also served on the Rush Township Election Board for several years. 

She  was a member of St. John's (Vought's) Lutheran Church Danville PA where she served in the Ladies Aid Society.  She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed attending  the Danville/Tri-County After 5 Club for many years. 

June enjoyed traveling, reading and embroidery.  She especially enjoyed cooking and spending quality time with her family and grandchildren whom she adored. 

In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters: Susan Teisher of Watsontown PA and Joyce Piazza and her husband Chris of Nazareth PA.  Also surviving are three grandchildren; Robert E. Teisher, Sean Teisher and Rebecca Piazza. She is also survived by one sister, Shirley Kerr of Danville PA.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by two sons; David Clark in 1985 and Dale Clark in 1990 and three brothers. 

Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of June's life to be held Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 11:00 at St. John's (Vought's) Lutheran Church 29 High Road Danville PA with the Reverend Kris Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends will be received from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM  at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
