Ethel M. Wintersteen

Ethel M. Wintersteen, 97, of 16 Oak Street Danville PA, where she had resided since 1955,  passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 at Geisinger-Bloomsburg Health Care Center Bloomsburg.  She was born August 15, 1917 in Mifflinville PA the daughter of the late Freas W. and Irene M. Fry LeVan. 

She was married to the late H. Donald Wintersteen whom she married March 26, 1936.  He passed away January 19, 1984. 

She was employed as an inspector by Milco Industries in Bloomsburg, retiring February 8, 1980.  

Ethel enjoyed "easy listening" music and was devoted for many years to her dog and faithful companion, Camie, whom she adored. 

She is survived by her friends and caregivers, Roger and Dorothy Welliver of Danville and by nieces and nephews.   

Ethel was preceded in death by her brother, Harold LeVan and her sister, Florence Thomas. 

At Ethel's request, relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service to be  held Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Mifflinville Cemetery in Mifflinville.  The Reverend C. Rayvon Hilliard will officiate.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Danville SPCA  2801  Bloom Road Danville PA 17821.  Arrangements are under the direction of Visneski Funeral Home Inc. 10 West Mahoning Street Danville PA.  www.visneski.com
