P. Hennessey, 81, died March 25, 2014 at Emmanuel Nursing Center at Maria
Joseph in Danville PA. He lived in Mount Carmel until 1999 when he and his
wife moved to Riverside PA. He was born September 6, 1932 in Dooleyville,
PA the son of the late Edward C. and Catharine (Gaughan) Hennessey.
attended Our Lady High School in Mount Carmel graduating in 1950. He served
his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
employed by PPL, retiring in 1994.
enjoyed fishing. He loved to watch racing and football, especially Notre
survived by his wife of 56 years, the former Margaret C. Schlegel, Danville
surviving is one daughter, Elizabeth (Ebby) Kort and her husband Paul of
Riverside PA and one son, Edward M. Hennessey and his wife Traci of
Northumberland PA. He is also survived by three granddaughters: Laura
Richards and her husband Jason and Sarah Romansik and her husband Kevin of
Riverside PA and Kiera Hennessey of Northumberland PA. Also surviving are
two great-grandsons: Callaghan and Jaxson Romansik of Riverside PA. He was
preceded in death by two sisters: Helen Kulick of Arlington VA and Mary
Ludes of Mount Carmel PA.
Memorial Service celebrating Edís life will be held at Visneski Funeral Home
10 West Mahoning Street Danville PA at the convenience of the family. Burial
will be held at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville PA.
