Alice B. Geise

Alice B. Geise, 95, of 995 Mowery Road, Danville, PA passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Grandview Health Homes, Inc. Danville.   She was born April 2, 1919 in Ohio  the daughter of the late Walter A. and Ruth Remick Blue. 

She graduated from Danville High School in 1937.  

She was a member of the Washingtonville Lutheran Church in Washingtonville, PA.  

Alice's greatest enjoyment in her life was growing flowers especially violets. She also enjoyed spending quality time with family and grandchildren. 

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Austin H. Geise whom she married November 28, 1943. 

Alice is survived by one son; Richard A. Geise of Tower City, PA and one daughter, Janet M. Engler of Coopersburg, PA.  Also surviving are three grandchildren; Lindy Hostetler, Gina Geise, and William Engler. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren; Lucas, Landon, and Hayden Hennessey, Payton and Bryce Engler. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by three sisters; Jean Reynolds of Northumberland, PA; Grace Reinaker of Altoona, PA and Phyllis Tysenn of Falls Church, VA. Alice was preceded in death by four brothers; Charles, John, Sam, and Max Blue.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 11:30 AM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 West Mahoning Street, Danville, PA 17821 with her nephew the Reverend Charles Reinaker officiating assisted by the Reverend Melody Sell.

Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of service.  Burial will be held in Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to Washingtonville Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 181, Washingtonville, PA 17884.  www.visneski.com
