Miriam Madeline "Mim"
Wolverton, 91, of 21 Grotto Drive, Danville, PA, passed away peacefully
Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Emmanuel Nursing Center at Maria Joseph Manor
in Danville, PA. She was born December 14, 1921 in Lock Haven, PA the
daughter of the late Joseph E. and Leotta M. Herman Litz.
from Lock Haven High School in 1939. She was employed as an Occupational
Therapist Aide at Danville State Hospital, retiring in 1984. Prior to this
she was employed at Welliver’s Hardware and later at George’s Florist.

for 70 years to Paul R. Wolverton, who preceded her in death on June 7,
2012. They were married December 25, 1941 at Shiloh UCC in Danville.
was a member of Shiloh United Church of Christ, where she served
faithfully as a Sunday school teacher for many years and served on numerous
committees in the church. She also served as Secretary-Treasurer for the
Central PA Synod of the United Church of Christ.
She is survived by
two sons; Raymond B. Wolverton and his wife Carolyn, of Denver, PA and Paul
R. Wolverton and his wife Margie, of Fallings Waters, WV. Also surviving are
three granddaughters, Jennifer Wisner of Vienna VA, Joanna Harper and her
husband Thomas of Greensburg, PA and Erica Wolverton of Martinsburg, WV: a
great-grandson, Raymond D. Harper. Also surviving are a brother: Louis H.
(Sonny) Litz of Montoursville, PA, and a sister: Mary Lou Welliver of
Danville, PA. She was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph E. Litz, Jr.
and two sisters, Jean E. Litz and Kathleen L. Ammerman.

held at noon on Saturday, November 30th at Shiloh United Church of Christ,
500 Bloom Road Danville PA with the Reverend Mary B. Schmotzer officiating.
Friends will be received from 11 AM until the time of service. Burial will
be private at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville, PA. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be made to the Shiloh UCC Building Improvement
Fund at the above address.
