Evelyn M. Erdley

Evelyn M. Erdley, 85, of 18 Maple Street Danville PA, where she had resided for the past 59 years, went home to be with her Lord surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Columbia Montour Home Hospice at Maria Hall in Danville PA.

She was born October 8, 1928 in Mount Carmel PA the daughter of the late Lawrence and Minnie Klawitter Mace. 

She graduated from Danville High School in 1946.  She was employed for 14 years by Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA in the Billing Department and for 14 years by Grandview Health Homes, Inc. Danville PA in the Admissions Office.   

Evelyn was a member of Shiloh United Church of Christ in Danville PA and the Order of the Eastern Star Danville PA.  She loved to travel.  Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family whom she adored.   

She was married 62 years to John F. Erdley whom she married October 13, 1951.  She is survived by one daughter, Susan E. James and her husband Dean of Danville PA and one grandson, Ryan A. James and his wife Kayla of Danville PA and one granddaughter, Allison M. Hardy and her husband Jared of Bethel PA.  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by two brothers; Norman and Willard Mace. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held Monday, November 18, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at Shiloh United Church of Christ 500 Bloom Street Danville PA with the Reverend Mary B. Schmotzer officiating.  Burial will be private in Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA.  Friends will be received from 10:45 until 11:45 AM at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh United Church of Christ or Columbia Montour Home Hospice 410 Glenn Avenue Suite 200 Bloomsburg PA  17815.  www.visneski.com
