Emily M. Ruscavage

Emily M. Ruscavage, 89, of 8 Mateo Drive Danville PA passed away Sunday morning, August 12, 2012 at Emmanuel Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation at Maria Joseph Continuing Care Community in Danville PA. She was born June 6, 1923 in Shenandoah PA the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Waiksnoris. 

She graduated from JW Cooper High School in Shenandoah PA in 1941. Mrs. Ruscavage was a buyer for a childrenís clothing store in Bridgeport CT and also a homemaker. She and her husband lived in Delray Beach FL and Hendersonville NC before returning to Pennsylvania to reside at the Maria Joseph Continuing Care Community in Danville PA. Mrs. Ruscavage was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Danville PA. Her enjoyments included swimming, home decorating and fashion.  

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, John Wasil Ruscavage whom she married September 29, 1944. Surviving are two daughters; Mary Ann Golick and her husband Paul of Durham NC and Donna Ruscavage of Norwalk CT. She is also survived by two grandchildren; Laura Gray and her husband Kip of Atlanta GA and Tony Golick of Durham NC. She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers; Ella Bugdan, Mayme Kennedy, Lenora Wasnavage, Edward Waiksnoris, Alfred Waiksnoris and Anthony Waiksnoris. 

A mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 17, 2012 at 9:30AM at The Chapel at Maria Joseph Manor 875 Montour Boulevard Danville PA. Burial will be private in St. Michaelís Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery Shenandoah Heights PA. Memorial contributions may be made to Maria Joseph Manor.
