Carl Lee Mausteller

Carl Lee Mausteller, 74, of Danville PA passed away Thursday morning, May 17, 2012 at his residence after a heroic battle with his illness of four years.  He was born February 11, 1938 in Danville PA the son of the late Charles W. “Bud” and Ethel Hahn Mausteller. 

He was employed as a machinist with Smith’s Machine Shop Danville PA for 49 years, retiring in 1994.  Carl was an avid hunter and especially enjoyed hunting with his wife in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and Pennsylvania.  He was a lifetime member of the NRA.  Carl also loved to race cars, boats and snowmobiles. 

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy J. Kashner Mausteller.  Also surviving are two brothers; Donald E. Mausteller and his wife Beverly of Danville PA and George L. Mausteller and his wife Sue of Danville PA. Also surviving are his nieces; Wendy Spurbeck, Lisa Strausser and Patricia Lentz and his nephews, Michael E. Mausteller and his wife Christine and Eric Mausteller.  He is also survived by eight great-nephews and two great-nieces.  Also surviving is his sister-in-law Rachelle Mausteller of Danville PA.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles G. Mausteller.   

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held Monday, May 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA with the Reverend Mary B. Schmotzer Shiloh United Church of Christ Danville PA officiating.  Burial will follow in Straub’s Lutheran Cemetery Danville PA.  Friends will be received from 9:00 AM until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Geisinger Hospice 100 Academy Drive MC-11 Danville PA 17822.  www.visneski.com
