Thelma M. Welliver, 76, of 708 Ridge Drive Danville PA passed away Monday, August 22, 2011 at Maria Hall Danville PA.   

She was born April 4, 1935 in Danville PA the daughter of Ruth V. Herman Krum of Danville PA and the late Clyde W. Krum. 

Mrs. Welliver graduated from Danville High School in 1953.  She was employed for 26 years by the Danville Area School District as a cafeteria worker, retiring in 2004.  She was a member of St. James United Church of Christ (Ridgeville) in Danville PA.  Mrs. Welliver enjoyed traveling, reading, bowling and going to craft shows.  Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her children and especially with her grandchildren. 

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Carman E. Welliver, Sr. whom she married June 16, 1956.  She is also survived by three sons; Carman Welliver, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Danville PA; Lamar Welliver, II of Danville PA; Craig Welliver and his wife Michele of Danville PA and two daughters; Donna Flick and her husband George, Sr. of Orangeville PA and Debra Baylor and her husband Eric of Danville PA.  Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister, Mary Ellen Hummer and her husband Donald of Danville PA. 

Friends and family may visit from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, August 26, 2011 at Visneski Funeral Home 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.   A private family service will follow at 11:15 AM with the Reverend Richard J. Shearer officiating.
