Anne I. Herr Buck, 97

Anne I. Herr Buck, 97, formerly of 14 Fulton Street Danville PA passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Kramm Health and Rehabilitation Center in Milton PA.  She was born August 29, 1914 in Danville PA the daughter of the late John and Johanna Gross Cook. 

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church Danville PA where she served many years as a Sunday school teacher.  Anne was a member of The Woman’s Club of Danville PA.  She was a former member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 186 Danville and the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem. Anne enjoyed gardening.  Anne was well known for the loving care that was selflessly given to all of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 61 years, Donald E. Herr who preceded her in death September 3, 1997 and her second husband, Spencer Buck on April 26, 2009. She is survived by two brothers; Charles Cook and his wife Virginia and William Cook and his wife Helen.  She was preceded in death by two brothers; Elmer and John Cook and three sisters; Mae Permar, Helen Paul and Jennie Baker. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church 306 Lombard Street Danville PA with her pastor the Reverend Ronald S. French officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery Danville PA.  Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at the church.  The family will provide flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.  www.visneski.com
